Motorcycle Touring Advice
If you’re planning to go touring on your motorcycle it may be tempting to just jump on the bike and head off into the sunset. However, a bit of pre-planning can make your trip a much more enjoyable and safe experience
Tip 1 – How long have you got? It’s amazing that most trips will actually take twice as long as you think – always plan for the unexpected.
Tip 2 – A good map or ideally a sat nav is essential. Carrying a small journal may also be a good idea so you can jot down any places you would like to further explore on any future trips.
Tip 3 – Always make sure you set off with a full tank of fuel. This may seem obvious but there’s nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday trying to find a petrol station.
Tip 4 – Always carry a supply of water, you never know when you’ll need it.
Tip 5 – Try and do some research before you set off. If your trip is going to take a number of days, look into accommodation before hand. It’s not fun being stuck in a foreign country with no room at the inn!

Tip 7 - A basic tool kit is a must along with a puncture repair kit.
Tip 8 – Make sure that your mobile phone is charged. Always carry a charger and European adaptor and if you’ve a spare battery bring it.
Tip 9 – It always a good idea to talk to the locals. They often have a much better knowledge of the local area than you can get from a map!
Tip 10 – HAVE FUN!!!!
