Additionally, the electrical computer system of most cars will need to be recalibrated to allow for a replacement key. This can only be done by garages designated by the vehicle manufacturer. So if your car keys are stolen, not only will you need to get new keys, but it is likely that the car’s computer system will also need to be changed.
